Blood Petal
Deep, deliberate crimson — the red that reads as black in certain light. Not cheerful. Not bright. The color of old wounds and intentional offerings. Roses don't look like we picture them. Blood Petal is dyed on Blue Faced Leicester for a reason: BFL carries a natural lustre that makes saturated color ring differently than merino. This crimson is cross-seasonal — at home at Samhain and Beltane alike, in any working that calls for the color of offering. Available on two bases: Widow's Silk (Fingering / Sock) — 100% Superwash BFL | 100g | ~437 yards | 4-ply | US 1–3 needles Starweb (Fingering / Sock with Sparkle) — 75% Superwash Merino / 20% Nylon / 5% Silver Stellina | 100g | ~437 yards | 2-ply | US 1–3 needles Hand-dyed with professional acid dyes. BFL fiber has a natural sheen that creates depth variation in photographic light. Hand wash cold, lay flat to dry. Avoid high heat on Starweb (stellina sensitive).
Hand-dyed in small batches. Color varies between skeins and from the photos. That variation is the point.
